NYK has become an official partner of the Japanese Para-sports Association, which was established in 1965 at the authorization of Japan???s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to develop and spread sports for the disabled (para-sports) throughout Japan after the 1964 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
NYK will make use of this partnership to deepen its understanding of para-sports and promote employee involvement in volunteer activities. In fact, the company has already conducted voluntary experimental sessions of soccer for the blind.
The NYK Group will continue to make efforts to disseminate information about para-sports and develop a responsive, energetic corporate culture that respects diversity and emphasizes integrity through volunteer activities.

The G6 Alliance continues to offer a variety of services between Asia and North America covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings, making service adjustments where necessary. The G6 Alliance also offers services on the Asia Europe and Trans-Atlantic trade lanes.
The G6 Alliance members include APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, and Orient Overseas Container Line.
The NYK Group will be making a donation of 10 million yen for the people recovering from a series of earthquakes in Kumamoto, Japan. In addition, the Group is collecting voluntary donations made by employees and examining various means of support as a global logistics enterprise offering ocean, land, and air transportation.
NYK offers its sincerest condolences to the victims of this tragedy, and the company's wishes for a quick recovery of the area.
