NYK announces port rotation changes to loops EU 2 and EU 3, which will take effect during April and May.
NYK is pleased to announce the following changes to improve its Asia-Europe Liner service as part of the Grand Alliance.
Loop EU 2
EU 2 will have a new port rotation for North Europe when the current schedule of: Le Havre ??? Amsterdam ??? Hamburg ??? Antwerp - Southampton changes to: Le Havre ??? Antwerp ??? Hamburg - Rotterdam - Southampton. Making Antwerp the second European port of call improves the direct transit times to Antwerp by 4 days from Taiwan and the south China ports as well as others in south east Asia via Singapore. Adding Rotterdam provides a new direct eastbound link from this port to Jeddah, the Gulf, south China and Taiwan.
The Asian port rotation remains unchanged. Amsterdam port coverage will continue via loop EU1, providing direct links with Japan, and south east Asia via Singapore.
These changes will take effect from the westbound voyage 50W17 of NYK LYNX commencing Kaohsiung on 24th April and NYK LYNX???s return voyage 50E21 to Asia from Le Havre commencing 20th May.
The full new rotation for EU 2 is: Kaohsiung ??? Shekou ??? Yantian ??? Hong kong ??? Singapore ??? Le Havre ??? Antwerp ??? Hamburg ??? Rotterdam ??? Southampton ??? Cagliari ??? Jeddah ??? Jebel Ali ??? Singapore ??? Kaohsiung.
Loop EU 3
EU 3 has an additional port call at Xiamen added after Shanghai. This will significantly improve NYK???s service from Xiamen to North Europe offering industry competitive transit times to the UK and the north continent via Hamburg and Rotterdam. All other port calls remain unchanged although there will be some adjustment to berthing windows in Europe.
This change will take effect from the westbound voyage 12W19 of NYK VIRGO commencing Ningbo on 7th May, which will follow NYK VIRGO???s current eastbound voyage 11E13.
The full new rotation for EU 3 is: Ningbo ??? Shanghai ??? Xiamen ??? Shekou ??? Hong Kong ??? Singapore ??? Southampton ??? Hamburg ??? Rotterdam ??? Port Kelang ??? Singapore ??? Shekou ??? Hong Kong ??? Ningbo.
Actual sailing dates will continue to be published in NYK???s Sailing Schedule available via www.nykeurope.com, alongside updated individual loop service guides for EU 2 and EU 3 which are due to be published online ahead of the introduction of these revised rotations.
