Fraud Attempt

Please be aware of a fraud attempt targeted at NYK and NYK third party agents by a person pertaining to be an employee, Adam Peterson in NYK North America office. This person is claiming via emails and telephone calls that they need assistance with travel ticketing for a business trip and need a credit card guarantee as they are having problems with their travel agency.

This is completely false and we ask all staff to not pass credit details on to this person or any other person who claims they need credit card details for travel tickets. If in doubt please contact the office they claim to be from to check.

We ask you to remain vigilant and to double check any out of the ordinary requests or communications.

Presented by ex-top gear presenter James May along with Kate Humble and Ant Anstead, the show comes live from the Mini car production plant in Oxfordshire where they discover how the plant manufactures a thousand cars in a day.

The show follows the Mini???s journey to Southampton where NYK employee, Andy Terry, talks James May through the complexities of loading over 4000 vehicles on to the NYK operated Triton Leader and the stringent processes behind making this happen.

NYK Vessel Rescues Fishermen off the Coast of the Philippines

On October 3, NYK Joanna, a containership operated by NYK, rescued seven fishermen in distress off the coast of the Philippines.

While the NYK vessel was sailing on October 3 from Vungtau, Vietnam, to Tokyo, Japan, the ship???s crew discovered the fishermen drifting off the coast of Philippines and rescued all of them in about two hours.

The fishermen had departed from Pangasinan in the Philippines on September 30, and their boat had overturned and sunk in bad weather on October 2. The seven fishermen were due to disembark from NYK Joanna at the port of Tokyo on October 7 and then return home.
